ChrIstMaS bELLs & a NeW yEar Of TruE BLiSS

Dear old St. Nick  sure did bring us a lot this year. A little to much I would say, but who's complaining. My husband spoiled me & delivered a very nice Christmas. We were very blessed this year. We do love the presents but we love the spirit of Christmas as well. We of course went to the forgotten carols which always puts us in the Christmas Spirit. If you have not been , get tickets for next year it's worth the monay!! We got a lot of family surprises as well and we are excited for whats to come. 

 New Years was fun for us we went to a nice dinner & Ice skating with friends and had a blast. We are ready to say goodbye to 2011 it was a bitter/sweet year & a very tough year. 

We both have made goals to make sure 2012 is not a repeat. 2011 was not all bad we made new friends ,our brother & his wife had a baby, we grew up just a little more, we got to spend more time with the Burke side of the family, I went through a huge change and had a chance to give up something that was taring apart my life and my future of having any blessings, I overcame something very hard and became that much stronger, my husband won awards at work for a project he worked very hard for and was well deserved  I am so proud of him and love him so much. I don't really know what's to come this year but we are not going to stress about it we are just going to live one day at a time to the best we can. We have made a goal to make this a fun,worry free, hopeful year if that makes sense :)!! Happy New years everybody

ChRisTmAs 2010

As usual Christmas was Amazing. . My husband never fails to surprise me!!! I truly have an amazing man & am blessed with such a great life. He takes care of me & our little family & that means the most to me!! his personality,looks,laugh,his ability to make me laugh even when I am sad & crying,his great cooking skills, him being a worthy priesthood holder, being sealed to him for time & eternity,him treating me like a princess & so much more are just extras & I always thank the lord for blessing me with such an amazing husband. Tis ThE sEaSoN....

 I would like to start out by saying that I hate snow. To me snow is only a pretty setting for christmas day THATS IT!!  I do love it around the holidays but I just hate how cold & wet it is & when it keeps me cooped up inside all day. I snowboard & ski but havn't been in so long because well I HATE SNOW. Greg & I do love sledding though , last year we found  a bunch of hills in Elk Ridge where  we lived & had tons of fun. Anyways, I do love this time of year , I love the lights,the decorations,the hot chocolate with marshmillows,christmas trees,shopping ( well I always love shopping), spending time with family & traditions. Every family has their own traditions for this time of year. I am so happy that I am able to share my family traditions with Greg & his with me. Since I was 14 my parents have been taking us kids to see The Forgotten Carols every year. It's funny because Micheal Mcclain does the same show every year but I pick up something new each time we go & it never gets old.Greg has had the chance to see it twice now with the family and he loves it. This coming week we will be going on my dads birthday with the whole family. We also draw names out of a hat to see who we have for christmas every year. Greg & I got Ella & Kylie which is fun because I always love shopping for my nieces.Since Greg & I have been married we have spent every chirstmas eve staying at my parents house because we live so far away!!! Anyways those are just some of our family traditions that I love so much.

Christmas this year was amazing. some of our favorite gifts we got was a new wedding ring I got for Greg that actually fit,he got me a very cute coat!! & my parents gave us food storage, a hobby lobby gift certificate, & greg new shoes. here is a slide show of how awesome this christmas was.......
