INTRODUCING OUR LITTLE PRINCESS:- LITTLE MISS LONDYN ANN BURKE

On Tuesday July 2,2013 at 4:00 a.m our little princess Londyn Ann Burke came in to this world at 8 lbs 2 ounces  and 19 1/2 inches long. She has her daddy's big lips, tons of hair like him, she has his long fingers, daddys feet, and daddy's skinny little legs. She has my eyes, nose and long arms. My due date was originally July 13,2013 but I knew all along she would come a week or two early which was just fine because she was still 38 weeks full term. Just like me she doesn't have any patience and we could just not wait. Back when Greg and I found out we were pregnant we knew we would have a baby girl and call her Londyn than Greg said I bet she will be born on the second day of the month like us. Greg me and Jax all have birthdays on second day of month 9.2.86 4.2.86 and 2.2.2009 sure enough we we can add 7.2.2013 to that list. Ha Ha the funny thing is is we didn't plan it we were actually hoping to have her on the 4th of July Greg's fave holiday but looks like some things are just meant to be  A week before she came I started having contractions my doctor had me go to labor and delivery and  found out I was dialated to a two and they sent me home than we went back two days later thinking I really was in labor only to find out I was dialated to a 3 so they sent me home for the weekend and told me to time my contractions. Monday morning I woke up and thought my water had broke but ignored it because I wasn't in any pain so I was convinced it was just the mucus plug. I went to get my hair done, eye brows waxed and eyelashes done and felt fine through out the whole apt . My friend Schelin who did my hair kept telling me there was no way I was in labor that early .After I left I went home and sure enough the pain kicked in right away and I could not tolerate it so I called my doctor hoping I could just go see him at his office but they made me go to labor and delivery again. I called Greg and we both were kind of fed up with the false alarms but the pain kept getting worse this time. They checked me out and I was still dialated to a three and than they came back in an hour and I had moved up to a four they informed me I was officially in labor. The two times we went up to the hospital the week before we took all our bags and were so prepared but this time I only had my diaper bag which had all of Londyn's stuff in it but nothing for Greg and I, we figured that would happen ha ha. I was in total shock I could not believe I was having my baby that night and neither could Greg. We said a prayer that everything would go well then we called my parents to come down and than the nurses moved me into the delivery room. They gave me the epidural and I was in heaven except for the fact that I was really hungry. My parents got there around 6 and than Greg left to go home and get our stuff. I am so thankful for my awesome parents who drove all the way from Syracuse to American Fork to be with me. Hours had gone by and about 9 p.m I was still at a four so they gave me potossum to get me moving along. We all watched movies and about 12 a.m I was dialated to a 6 and my older sister Jodi and brother in law Curtis came down to visit ( like I said I have an awesome family for them to drive all the way down there) right after my sister left at 12:30 a.m I had gone from a 6 to a 9 within a half hour. The doctor came in and we were ready to get started, I pushed from 1 a.m to 3:30 am and was completely exhausted I had not eaten for 12 hours and I had not slept either . Greg was so awesome he counted every contraction for me . It was just him and my mom in with me and they were both so supportive it was a long 3 hours of pushing . My doctor saw how worn out I was but everybody kept telling me how great I was doing and honestly I surprised myself. I really did do better than I thought. I don't exercise or anything like that so I was worried I would be out of shape but I held up better than I thought and it was a lot easier than I thought too but by 3:30 I was completely gone. The room was spinning and I felt like I was going to pass out. They didn't tell me at the time but Londyn was not face up or face down she was side ways so my doctor had to grab the clasps and pull her out. That is why  she was not coming out by me just pushing and that is why he had to do a 3rd degree cut on me. Ya it was something Greg and I really did not want to happen but I would do anything for my baby and I could tell she was stuck in the canal , I didn't care what happened to me I just wanted her to come out safe . It was hard I still had to push and when she came out Greg's face turned bright white and he looked very worried I couldn'y see much so I was so worried and I kept looking at him and my mom saying "what's wrong is she ok?please tell me she's ok" they kept telling me every things fine and by the way I had thee most awesome nurse EVER she really made me feel safe and comfortable. As soon as I heard Londyn cry I knew she was ok they moved her over to the other side of the room and Greg and my mom went over by her . My mom stayed with her but Greg hurried back to my side he looked like he was about to cry and just kept asking me how I was doing. I could see the doctor stitching me up . All I kept asking Greg is how Londyn was and he kept saying she is perfect but how are u? I was so confused why he wasn't with our baby and why he was with me. I looked down at the doctor and he was stitching me up. They than handed me my baby and the feeling I felt was like nothing I had ever felt before . I did not  know a love like this existed. I looked at her beautiful face and just fell in love right away I noticed her beautiful big lips and her tiny little hands. Right than and there I knew my life had changed for the better ,the answer to all my prayers was right there in front of me ,every trial every battle I had ever faced in life was so worth it because it had led me to this very moment. They took her away because I had a fever during labor and they had to give her an IV of anti biotics as a precaution. Greg went with her and my mom stayed with me she than explained what had happened but I was so upset I wanted my baby with me. After everything was wrapped up & stitched up I was so hungry I wanted  a big giant sandwich and a coke ha ha I was in so much pain though I tried to eat but it was so hard to even move .my dad who had waited in the waiting room came in and he even trIed feeding me my sandwich because I couldn't move he is so sweet. Greg came back in to the room going on and on about how perfect our little miracle was and than he told me why he looked so worried during labor and I guess the cut was worse than I thought he told me he hated seeing something like that happen to me and how worried and frightened he was for me. My love for him grew so much stronger  after that experience.I asked why he wasn't over by the baby and he said "Londyn is perfect, she is very healthy and doing great I am worried about u and how your doing and I can tell your not ok" physicalLy I was not ok but emotionally I was so happy but at the same time sad I just wanted to hold my baby.Londyn had to be on the anti biotic for 48 hours 24 of it was waiting for her culture to come back which I am pleased to announce was negative for any infection which makes sense because I didn't have any infections and the other 24 was for them to wing her off the anti biotic. Even though I was mad I couldn't be with my baby I am glad they took precaution with her. And like I said I was so happy she didn't have any infection and was perfectly healthy. She did have some jaundice though but we got to take her home with us and do the billy lights at home. We  had the bed and the wond ,  it was a pain in the butt but it was all cleared up within 3 days. I love being a mom it's something I have dreampt of all my life when people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up I would always say "I want to be a mommy" and  sure enogh here I am a stay at home mom to my beautiful little girl. Of course I still do hair a s a hobby on the side but my full time job is being Londyns mommy. Londyn is such a good baby too she sleeps through most of the night, she loves to snuggle and she sleeps through anything. I loved being pregnant with her, people complain so much about being pregnant but I actually enjoyed it. I didn't get any stretch marks,I loved dressing my bump ,I didn't gain that much weight and I really wasn't that emotional . The only down side to it was the morning sickness that lasted all the way up to week 33. I can't wait to be pregnant with our next when that will be hopefully soon I want to be within a year but Greg wants to wait til Londyn is two so who knows . We want at least three kids I kind of have a feeling they will be all girls but who knows maybe we will get our little Beckham Gregory. We are doing really well  adjusting to having Londyn home with us,Jax is doing ok with it I think he is a little jealous he is not the baby anymore but he is getting better with it each day. we are both very involved parents ,we both have been waiting for this for so long that we love being involved and her being our whole world,we take turns and help each other out. Greg is a great daddy it just comes so natural  for him. I have been doing great I am not in that much pain anymore and am recovering really well and for once in my life really thankful for great genes and a fast metabolism because the weight has been dropping fast.People ask me if I have had any baby blues or post partum stuff and honestly not at all. There are days when I am more emotional than others but for the most part I am on cloud 9. Greg keeps telling me I am a great mom and this is my life calling he gets so amazed because I know when Londyn is about to cry or poop ha ha but I think all moms know their baby and can call out whats about to happen. Londyn is thee most beautiful baby I have ever seen I  know all moms say that about thier babies but my daughter is just so gorgeous, having a baby girl is so much fun her closet is full of tutus and cute little outfits and soon I will be painting her nails. She has a lot of Gregs features but her personality is like mine to a t. She reminds me of myself a lot. I love my little family I am just so blessed to have all that I have. I am thankful for my doctor who educated me on how to carry my baby to full term and to have a healthy pregnancy I am so happy I went with this doctor he helped Greg and I get pregnant and he delivered my healthy beautiful baby girl .I was so impressed with him and our sweet nurse.Life is good and I thank the lord every day for my cute little family who I am lucky to be sealed to for eternity. Here are some cute pics of Londyns first two weeks, we go get her newborns Thursday so stay tuned for her cute pictures done by no other than the talented Kristina Curtis
