This Christmas was one of the best I have ever had,spending it with my amazing husband was what made it So awesome. We actually switched it up a bit this year, Since we live in Orem and a ways away from my family we opened our gifts the sunday before christmas than went to my parents house for Christmas eve & Christmas. However we saved some fun for Christmas by getting each other surprise gifts & opening them christmas morning!!! He got "me" guitar hero although I am pretty sure he plays it more than me ha ha no all jokes aside It was a great gift because we both love playing it & it gives me somthing to do down here until I start school up again. My surprise gift for him was a watch but two days after I had gotten him the watch he was wearing this watch that I had never seen before I think he peaked at his gift & was hinting to me to take it back & get something else because he already had a watch ha ha but I didnt because well this may surprise alot of you but Gregory is the hardest guy to shop for he is so darn picky about his clothes and we ended up taking back two of his shirts he actually liked two of the shirts I picked out but I it was our first christmas & practice makes perfect!!!! Christmas 2008 was so much fun at my parents house its always so fun to see the kids faces light up & see them get so excited for Santa. Our names we drew out of the basket this year were our neices kendal & Gracie. Greg had Grace I had kendal when we went shopping there was this cute little girls clothing & toy store that was having a sale Greg automatically went to this cute shirt he wanted to get for Grace I told him shes 8 & would prob like a toy better & he insisted on the shirt and a high school musical neclace well he was right as always Grace seeemed to love it she was wearing it the next day & Kendal seemed to like her lip glosses & little pet shop dolls.We were so happy to see them happy. We are very excited for more many christmas but will always cherish & value our first Burke Family christmas.

HoNeYmOoN

Our honeymoon was very fun. It started out staying at the marriott in salt lake which was nice Greg was liking it because Byu football team was also staying there. The nest day we went to see Twilight bless Gregs Heart he i knew I wanted to see it really bad so he got tickets & we met up with my family,he wasnt expecting my fam to come so he originally got tickets in the back row so we could makeout ha ha but his plan didnt work out to well ha ha which wouldnt have mattered anyways because well its twilight I was to concentrated on the show ha ha. He even bought me a shirt that said twilight on the front & on the back it said the forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest.I made him show spirit to so i got him a pin to wear that said so the lion fell in love with the lamb ha ha ha hes such a good hubby. After the show we went to his sisters to steel some turkey than headed to mesquite & road the go carts. Sunday we left for san diego & stayed there that night. Monday morning we left on our cruise. It was an awesome cruise all u can eat buffet & all u can eat chocolate buffet. We loved the hot chocolate because it was a bit cold,until we got to cabo which was 86 degrees I have been to Cabo before with friends for spring break & loved being there with my hubby I love cabo & could actually live there its one of my favorite places. We went horsebackriding on the beach & greg almost got bucked off his horse ha ha it was fun & we had a blast except for the fact greg got offered cocain like 12 times ha ha. One night I got really sea sdick on the ship & kept throwing up but that was just one night. Greg however was really sea sick throughout the trip I felt so bad for him. We celebrated our thanksgiving on the ship it was sad we missed being home for the holiday but thankfully my wonderful parents had thanksgiving for us when we got home bless their hearts it was so nice of them to do that for us. OuR jOuRnEy BeGiNs ToDaY fRoM hErE tO eTeRnItY~11/21/2008

                                               We are now officially married & we our loving married life. My wedding day was everything I have always wanted & so much more. My mom did such a great job along with everybody else!!!! When I was sealed to Greg It was the happiest moment of my entire life.I never thought that moment would come so I wasnt prepared for all the emotions I felt at that very moment ,It was the best feeling I have ever felt. Words Can not describe how I felt when I was sealed to my Gregory for all time & eternity.I look back on my life & am so thankful for the road that led me to Greg. Nobody has ever made me feel the way my husband does. I fall more & more in love with him each day, he makes me feel like a true princess & he makes me his top priority . To sum it all up he is EVERYTHING I have ever wanted in a man & in a relationship I didn't have to change who I was or what I wanted in life because the best part is he loves me for me & wants those same things as well.I lost Greg when we were about to come out of the temple & greet everybody it was so funny I wasnt even worried, it was hard to feel anything but true joy & happiness in the temple.As we came out with big smiles on our faces & tears of joy, the photographer yelled KISS. As Greg leaned me over to kiss me he accidently ripped out my wedding Vale & my hair got all messed up, it was a very aggressive kiss to say the least haha. I didn't care though, sure my hair was messed up but like I said the only thing on my mind was that I am married to my prince charming for ETERNITY. Everything went great that day my friend Megan kept telling me to not let anything that goes wrong ruin my day, there were a couple things but all in all the day was perfect. I really appreciate my maid of honors especially Payton she did so much to help me she was up with me at 6:00 am to help me get beautiful & her along with the beautiful Ausha were there to help me get ready before the reception. All my bridesmaids looked beautiful & the flower girls were just adorable they kept fighting over who got to dance with Greg.

 Yes my hubby is an excellent dancer unlike me  ha ha. When it came time to throw the bouquet my little niece's Kendall & Ella were ready to catch it, they were so sad when they didn't catch it so I ripped two flowers out of the bouquet and gave them each a piece of the bouquet. The cake was AMAZING we had a big cake and than 4 little cakes surrounding it, so we got to pick 5 or 6 different flavors. We gave one of the little cakes to my parents and one to Greg's parents so we made sure we had a certain kind they liked.The reception was so gorgeous, it was so perfect. I am so happy with the outcome . It was so magical. I love pink so it was full of pink & my favorite flowers Pink roses & pink peonies. We served cupcakes & ice cream & they were so yummy thank you everybody for slaving away making cupcakes.One of the cutest moments of the entire evening was when I was dancing with my dad for the father 's dance my hubby first went & danced with his mom but than went & asked my mom to dance, my mom loves dancing with the stars & Greg just loves dancing so he hammed it up & did a couple dances from the show with her. We both couldnt stop laughing when we had our first dance....I am not a dancer & he kept trying to dip me & do all these fancy things it was so sweet, we danced to "me & you" by kenny chesney & tears just filled my eyes. It was theee most perfect night to thee most perfect day. Our honeymoon  on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas was so much fun , I have a post labeled honeymoon if anybody is interested in hearing more about it.We are now living in Orem & I love our little apartment we have it decorated so cute & tomorrow night we are going to pick ut our  first christmas tree. I start back up in school Febuary first & greg is still going strong at school. I was worried being so far away from family would make me sad but I still go up there & I have my little family here in Orem & we are so happy.We are very excited for christmas we will be staying at my parents house for Christmas & look forward to spending the holidays with them

ClOcKs a TiCkIn

The wedding is in 2 weeks & we both our very excited.Greg thinks it will drag on & not come fast enough,me on the other hand is thinking its coming TO FAST!!! I just want to take a minute & just say I never thought I would be getting married this soon but like I always say my father in heaven has always made things in my life happen totally opposite from what I have planned who am I to argue with that? HA HA. At my sister Jens wedding last year my good friend Ausha asked me so what colors do you want at your wedding?? what type of dress? etc.... I snapped back & said I have never thought about it & its true I have always wanted to find the one & live happily ever after but after the life experiences I have had & the type of guys I had been with I gave up hope & talked myself in to staying single. Actually I was content with it my Parents would always get mad when they would talk about me getting married & finding "the one" and I would snap back with a sarcastic saying like no I wanna move to LA do hair & be single. It was true to I wasnt saying it to get sympothy or to feel sorry for myself I truly was happy with who I was & where I was going In life. When Greg & I were chatting here and there over text,before my parents even knew about him they had told me they had set aside money for my wedding I freaked out & said "why? I wanna use that money to finish school?" they got mad & said if your not married in the next 6 months than fine we will let you do whatever you would like with that money. Well a week after that me & greg were serious & talking abut our future together. Funny how things happen!!! Either way I would have been just as happy but I will not lie theres nothing like loving someone who truly loves you back. This I have never felt before. Heavenly Father sent me an angel & all those years of wondering did my prince get eaten by the dragon am I stuck dating all the frogs??? Well all the hard times & unhappiness finally paid off.Its true what they say you have to get a taste of the bad ones to appreciate the good. I just wanna say how I do appreciate Greg He has taught & showed me so much about how to love & trust again. I am finally with somebody who Makes me feel joy & who treats me like a princess I can say this because I have been with the worse of the worse of most of you know & I have never felt this way. I find myself feeling things I have not felt sense I was 15 about myself. Over the years I lost a peice of me & I truly believe Greg is the one who is supposed to help me put the peice I lost back together.

Halloween Time

Halloween 2008 was a fun time. My favorite holiday is halloween & the whole month of October is always the funnest time. We took our neices to see High School Musical 3 Senior Year Greg was the only boy but we had so much fun & seeing how excited they were just made our day. We also celebrated my mom,Ella & Kendals birthdays & carved pumpkins. It was actually prety warm this Halloween which is always a good thing. Because we have been so busy planning for the wedding me & greg didnt dress up which made me sad but next year we plan to go as Zak & Vanessa from high school musical.

PROPOSAL 9/19/08

September 19,2008 was one of the happiest days of my life. I never thought that day would come where the man of my dreams asked for my hand in marriage. The day started out with Greg taking me to a  Byu game,we both are huge fans of college football. After that he took me up American Fork canyon to Cascade Springs where his sisters prepared this romantic dinner in the middle of the fall leaves right by the creek. It was beautiful. I could tell he was so nervous and I was nervous as well. The fall leaves were so pretty and it was perfect sunny weather. He read me his patriarchal blessing and it said some very special things in it. He said I was the first person he has ever shared that with and will be the only person he ever shares it with.; I started crying and shaking, I was so nervous. He than got down on one knee & proposed he said "Katie Ann Burke, you are so beautiful ,I love you and  I want to spend eternity with you princess.Please make me the happiest man on earth and marry me". he slipped the ring on my finger and I was laughing/crying/shaking ha ha I was speechless. He than said "so is that a yes?" I had totally forgot to say yes, I just assumed he knew it was a yes. I than said "Yes baby of course" I jumped in to his arms and we just held each other both crying. I am going to love being Mrs.Gregory Burke. I am so blessed to have him and to spend eternity with him. I have waited for this moment since I was a little girl and he is perfect. I can not wait to be the mother of his children and to live each day trying to make him happy. Gregory Brian Burke is the answer to all my prayers. I am one lucky girl. I love you Gregory I can't wait to be sealed perfectly for eternity -you and me!!
