TaKiNg RoLL w-The SuNbEaMs

Since Greg & I have been teaching the sunbeams we have been having so much fun. They are so cute &  their personalities are exhausting but so refreshing!!! In Primary we have the youngest class so we sit right in front they are new too In January they all just came out of nursery!!! Greg is usually at one end of the seats with all the boys crawling all over him yanking his tie & my husband being thee most patient, tolerant & lovable man he is just sits there and smiles!!! I am on the other side of the seats making sure the kids don't run to the back  while I usually end up getting up & chasing them in my 5 & 1/2 inch heels to get them to stay in their seats, while all the little girls fight to sit on my lap! By the end of Primary Greg & I are already WORN OUT!! I guess 8 little 3 year olds will do that to you. When we leave class we make sure all our sunbeams fold their arms & follow in a line behind Greg!!  surprisingly this works. When we get into class they all scream TREATS!!! because they know their new teacher's have a little colorful bucket  & that it is the TREAT BUCKET!! We try to bring treats each week so far we started w-candy BAD IDEA than rice crispy treats & usually little kids wouldn't mind getting food & candy stuck to their clothes  but we have two little twin girls that are always dressed to the tee like little beauty pageant girls!! they both  got very upset that rice crispy treats got stuck to their ugg boots so that day us three spent most of our time scrubbing the rice crispy treats off their shoes.So back to what I was saying. this week we took chocolate chip cookies & that was a bad idea too so I think next week we will do CARROTS ha ha. At the first of class we have them jump up & down & get their wiggles out!! unfortunately this doesn't work. This last Sunday I got the roll out & Greg yelled ok guys let's take ROLL!! All of the sudden 3 of the little boys screamed ROLL & started rolling on the ground!!! oh if I only was allowed a camera!! ha ha. that's only one of the funniest things they do that has Greg & I laughing til we cry!!! Usually by the end of class as we are all waiting for their parents to come get them I am picking up treats all over the floor,loose head bends,loose ties,loose shoes & loose jackets !!! So excited for yet another eventful Sunday with our SUNBEAMS!!!

SuNbEaMs

Greg & I love kids & I would like to say we are both really good with them. We have so many niece's & nephews that we just love being an Aunt & Uncle. Sunday was our first Sunday with our sunbeams, we have 6 girls &4 boys!!! We have two little twins girls in our class that are adorable but two of the shyest little girls EVER!! However they both were clinging on to me fighting on who got to sit on my lap, You can for sure tell these little ones are strait out of nursery!! Greg of course sat with the boys & it seems as though the boys are better  behaved than the girls. There are two little girls who were not shy, as the twins fought to sit on my lap the other two little girls talked my ear off!! We for sure had a lot of fun though I love seeing my husband around kids he just is so patient & sweet with them & kids just love him. I am so happy we got this calling, I am sure it won't be easy but it will be worth it oh & p.s I don't know any of the primary songs I felt so lost wow its been a while ha ha!!!

PrImArY!!!!

We have been in our new ward since July 2010, Since Greg & I have been married we have had some different callings which I am thankful for but this last Sunday we got a calling I have been wanting for so long. I have to begin with the truth. ,This calling has been waiting for us for a month but however with it being December & not being to our own church for a couple Sundays it has been patiently waiting. I told Greg when they first called us a couple Sundays ago to meet with one of the bishop rick that I knew it was the calling I have been wanting for a long time. I knew this because I prayed & had this feeling that we needed to get in for our interview so that we can accept this wonderful calling. I remember getting mad at Greg because he was sick a couple Sundays ago  & he looked at me & said "your right you really do want this calling" !!!! Finally we made it in this last Sunday & as soon as the second counselor  asked us to accept the calling of Primary Teachers I got this huge smile on my face & immediately I said yes little did I know my husband still had to say yes too. I looked at him & said Greg says yes too. He looked at Greg laughing & said "brother Burke?" Greg was smiling & asked "It's not the 9 year old boys right?" the answer was no ha ha. I than asked him what age we had & he said "I believe it's the sunbeams" Greg's answer "Wow she is getting everything she wants today" ha ha my husband thinks he's funny. Since we both were called we get to teach every week. Greg & I love kids & we are both so excited to have this calling . We  are both so thankful. What a perfect way to start out 2011 !!!
