Greg & I met in April 2008.Greg I am sure will kill me for telling of how we met but I am going to do it anyway!!! I was going to school & living with my parents in Syracuse ,Utah.......I was invited to Greg's BBQ by his friend Ryan. Ryan & I were friends on Facebook .Greg had put his event on Facebook (he loves planning stuff )anyways Ryan accepted the invitation and since I was going with Ryan I marked attending to. Well for those of you who know me I dated LOTS. Ryan was from Provo, the BBQ was in Provo and well to be honest I wasn't that in to Ryan to drive all the way to Provo from Syracuse ha ha that sounds mean he was a nice guy just not my type.... just a friend. The next day I get this friend request from Greg he asked me why I didn't go, I knew they were friends so I said oh something came up he than continued to ask me if I was seeing Ryan & I of course said no he said "oh that's really good news for me". we started talking but never got to meet & go out before Greg had to move to Philli In April 2008 for work.For a week we didn't really talk but there was something that just kept making me think of him and by this time I wanted no relationship what so ever I was finally happy with being single and dating tons of guys, but nobody really interested me besides Greg. Little did I know Greg was feeling the same way. He keeps telling me he showed his friend Tyler my Facebook pic and said "I am going to marry that girl"
So we stayed in touch & very quickly became close talking over the phone for a month.So close that we both decided to be exclusive. I just felt something with him I never felt before. I felt comfort,safe,giddy,and most of all HAPPY. Everybody on his end and on my end were so confused. people would tell me "Katie your with a total stranger" to them he may have been but to me it's like we had known each other our whole lives just by talking on the phone in one night, we got each other,we wanted the same things, we understood everything & anything about each other, and we couldn't get enough of each other. Nobody understood how we could be in a relationship without having never met,we understood though ,Greg & I understood. Even though my family was confused & weirded out by the whole thing they all couldn't deny how different I had become since being with Greg.Guys with money & guys who used their money to win over girls I never understood,to me it was the emotional connection that mattered most. Greg & I fell in love with who we are on the inside by texting,emailing,web cam,talking all day on the phone. I was falling for him so fast. We came to a conclusion that I had to fly out there & meet. We were both a little nervous, ok ok really really nervous and after he talked to my dad on the phone Greg flew me out there and it was love at first sight. It was like we had known each other all our lives. So we stayed
together all summer.I flew back out there August 20 & drove back home with him it was such a fun road trip. I met his parents In Denver on our way home, and when we got home my parents adored him.Greg proposed September 19,2008. THE POST WITH THE PROPOSAL IS TITLED THE PROPOSAL.Gregory Brian Burke Is my greatest blessing in life and there is nobody else on this planet who comes close to how perfect he is & how well he treats me. I love you Gregory
